Learn the many different treatments that
are available for hair loss and which of
those are proven to be most effective. This
course consists of 12 modules, each of which
is a small insight to each module of the full
Trichology course itself. You will be provided
with an understanding of what it takes
to further your studies to become a fully
qualified Trichologist.
This Hair Practitioners Certificate Course is
recognised as prior learning towards the full
Trichology course (RPL).
Session Focus
The course includes the following 12 lessons;
• Functions and structures of the skin
• Glands of the skin
• The chemistry and physiology of the hair
• Nervous and circulatory support systems
• Amino acids and bonds in the hair
• pH of the hair, skin and chemicals we use
• Cystine, cysteine and permanent waving
• Colouring and decolouring
• Diffuse hair loss
• Genetic hair loss in men and women
• Microscopy
• Scarring alopecia
Day 3 is a simulated clinic day, where you will
use a Trichoscope to recognise hair/scalp
problems and perform treatments to address
those problems.
