Following on from a very successful AHC Industry Day event on 28 June, The Australian Hairdressing Council is collaborating with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) in a new pilot project aimed at driving interest in careers within the hairdressing and barbering industry.
This initiative is all about shining a light on the incredible opportunities available in our sector and connecting passionate job seekers with employers who are ready to nurture new talent.
As part of the 2024 Hairdressing and Barbering Recruitment Strategy (pilot), the collaborative project kicks of with a FREE one hour webinar on ‘The Talent Pipeline – Hiring Apprentices For Your Salon‘ – on Monday 9 September at 1:00pm
The webinar will focus on:
- Supports to help business owners hire apprentices, from recruitment to onboarding, and who to contact for support and guidance.
- Updates to the Apprenticeships program and Apprenticeship Connect Providers.
- Retention strategies and practical tools to support small business.
Whether attendees are considering hiring apprentices for the first time, or looking to refine their current processes, this valuable session will be tailored to provide everyone with actionable strategies and answers to any questions a business owner may have.
